Bainbridge High School is hosting the Region 1-AAAA basketball tournament this week.

Both BHS’ boys and girls teams have the No. 1 seed in their respective brackets.

The BHS girls’ first game will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. against No. 4 seed Northside Columbus. If they win the first game, their next game would be Friday night at 7 p.m.

If the Lady Bearcats advance to the championship game, they will play Saturday at 7 p.m. If they lose the second round game, they would play in a consolation matchup on Saturday at 4 p.m.

The BHS boys’ first game will be on Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m. against No. 4 seed Houston County. If they win the first game, their next game  would be Friday night at 8:30 p.m.

If the Bearcats advance to the championship game, they will play on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. If they lose the second round game, they would play in a consolation game on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

The higher-seeded team in each game of the tournament will be the home team and wear white or light-colored jerseys. Admission for all of the games on each of day of the tournament is $7 per person. The games are being played in the gymnasium of the new BHS on U.S. 84 East.
