The funeral service for Joe T. Miller, 51, of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., was held Monday, Jan. 31, at Oak Street Baptist Church with Brothers Ron Shaw and David Haynes officiating.

Burial followed at Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in McMinnville, Tenn., with Jonah Watson, David Watson, Steven Craven, Josh Judkins, Stan Williams, Greg Lynn, Rick Nunley, John Whitt, Jessie Pendergrass and Kenneth Ewton acting as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the Deacons at Oak Street Baptist Church.

Mr. Miller was born April 24, 1959, and died Jan. 27, 2011. He was ordained into the ministry in 1982 and ministered churches in Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee with his last ministry being at the Oak Street Baptist Church in Soddy-Daisy, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph E. Miller.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Darlene Miller; two daughters, Sandra Miller and Laura Miller Sawyers; his mother, Dorothy Miller; two brothers, David and Frank Miller; two sisters, Ann Watson and Betty Barr, and one granddaughter.

Williamson & Sons Funeral Home of Soddy-Daisy was in charge of the arrangements.
