Funeral services for Markilious Megale “Mark” Samuel Sr., 28, of Thomasville, Ga., were held Jan. 29, at Lamar Street Church of Christ with Brother Arthur Medlock officiating.

Interment was in Jonas Lobe Cemetery with Ozell Samuel Jr., Charles Samuel, Sammy Cook, Larry Samuel, Louis A. Pearson and John Adams acting as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Damian Brown, Jonathon Samuel, Adrian Samuel and Lawrence Cook.

Mr. Samuel was born April 8, 1982, in Bainbridge, and died Jan. 25, 2011, in Thomasville.

He was educated in the Decatur County School System and a member of Lamar Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Carmelita L. Samuel; his son, Markilious Jr.; two daughters, Jazzel and Marikila; and his mother, Barbara Samuel McCoy; three brothers, Damian, Adrian and Jonathan; grandparents, Ozell and Ruby Samuel, and Betty Cook; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
