The funeral service for Virginia Dollar Bolton, 84, of Bainbridge, was held on Tuesday, Jan. 18, at Christian Faith Church with the Rev. Ronald Kirkland officiating.

Interment was at Oak City Cemetery.

Mrs. Bolton was born June 27, 1926, in Decatur County, the daughter of Ruel Dollar and Cladis Martin Dollar, and died Jan. 16, 2011, at her residence.

She married Graham Jones Bolton Sr. on July 1, 1945, in Bainbridge. Mrs. Bolton was of the Christian faith, a homemaker and was involved in numerous ministries throughout her life.

Mrs. Bolton was preceded in death by her husband, Graham Jones Bolton Sr., and a sister, Vernice Hicks.

Survivors include her son, Graham Jones Bolton Jr. and his wife, Belita Heard Bolton, of Bainbridge; her daughters, Jerrie Bolton Perry and her husband, Herbert, of Bainbridge, and Janet Bolton Alday of Lawrenceville, Ga.; a sister, Vonnie Ivester of Bainbridge; grandchildren, Christopher Jayson “Jay” Bolton, Jana Alday Chase, Ryan Gresham Alday and Jennifer “Jennie” Perry; and a great-granddaughter, Lily Chase.

Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
