Funeral services for Lloyd Davis, 65, of Pelham, Ga., were held Monday, Jan. 17, at Milford Baptist Church with the Rev. Preston Wilson officiating.
Interment followed in the church cemetery with grandsons Joshua Merritt, Brandon Haire, Dustin Haire, Christopher Penny, Brian Warren, Shawn Jones and J.C. Malone acting as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers included the Leary Farm Center employees.
Mr. Davis was born March 29, 1945, in Camilla, Ga., and died Jan. 14, 2011, at Medical Group of Mitchell County in Camilla. Mr. Davis was the son of the late R.G. and Maggie Wiggins Davis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a retired farmer and truck driver. He was a member of Milford Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sue A. Davis of Pelham; three daughters, Melissa Warren and husband, Chad, of Pelham, Robin Jones and husband, Tom, of Bainbridge, and Jackie Malone and husband, Butch, of Cordele; one son, Steve Haire and wife, Karen, of Pelham; one brother, T.J. Davis of Moultrie; three sisters, Eula Pearl Hart of Elmodel, Elizabeth Sartain of Wildwood and Gracie Hoskins of Atlanta; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home of Camilla was in charge of arrangements.
