Funeral services for Nancy Atkinson Jones, 94, of Donalsonville, Ga., were held Thursday, Jan. 13, in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with the Rev. Andy Merritt officiating.

Burial followed in the Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville with her grandsons acting as pallbearers.

Mrs. Jones was born in Brinson, Ga., on Oct. 24, 1926, and died Jan. 11, 2011, at the Donalsonville Hospital. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Donalsonville, Ga., and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Atkinson and Emma Kate Free Atkinson; her husband, Andrew Robert Jones, and one son, Robert Cleveland Jones.

She is survived by three sons, Charles Jones of Donalsonville, Bill Jones of Prattville, Ala., and Ralph Jones of Iron City, Ga.; one daughter, Debra Kraft of Donalsonville; one brother, Luther Atkinson of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Pam Miller of Donalsonville, 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
