The funeral service for Laura McPherson Hobbs, 51, of Griffin, Ga., was held on Monday, Jan. 10, at Attapulgus Church of God with Pastor Joseph Crews, the Rev. Glenn Ring, and Pastor Joel Stewart officiating.

Interment followed at Attapulgus Cemetery with Brian Bellville, Bill Cochran, Elwood Ward, Ricky Spooner, Rick Spooner and Keith Lafferty served as active pallbearers.

Mrs. Hobbs was born June 18, 1952, in Wauwatosa, Wis., the daughter of Loy McPherson and Carol Kanz McPherson. She died Jan. 5, 2011, in Griffin, Ga. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Sunnyside, Ga.

Laura is survived by her husband, Ken Hobbs of Griffin.

Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
