Funeral services for Leo Nix, 75, of Bainbridge, Ga., were held Jan. 7, 2011, at Greater Macedonia M.B. Church with the Rev. Eric Collins officiating.

Interment was in Antioch M.B. Church Cemetery in Gordon, Ala., with friends of the family acting as pallbearers.

Mr. Nix was born Dec. 7, 1935, in Gordon, Ala. He died Jan. 2, 2011. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where he served as an usher on the senior usher board and a member of the senior choir.

Survivors include two sisters, Rita Mae Nix Williams and Delia M. Joiner of Bascom, Fla., and a host of other relatives and friends.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
