Decatur County officers graduate from police academy

Tifton, Ga.—Kenneth C. Davidson, Elijah McCoy and Christopher Sapp of the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office were among 14 individuals who recently received certificates at graduation exercises for the 244th session of the Georgia Public Safety Training Center (GPSTC) Regional Police Academy at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

Davidson received first place in firearms and served as president of the 244th session.

First place in academics went to Sapp.

The GPSTC regularly holds multi-week intensive training sessions designed to acquaint officers with state-of-the-art law enforcement techniques. The Academy operates in cooperation with the School of Human Sciences at ABAC.
