Funeral services for Mr. Collie McKemie Cook, 88, of Pansey, Ala., will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 5, at 2 p.m. CST at Springhill Freewill Baptist Church in Gordon, Ala., with the Rev. Doug Carr officiating.

Interment to follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Cook was born Jan. 10, 1922, in Ashford, Ala., and died Jan. 2, 2011, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey J. and Thelma Jeffcoat Cook, and a brother, Azell McKemie.

He is survived by his wife of almost 54 years, Inez Glisson Cook of Pansey; one daughter, Cathy Cook Sumlar of Pansey; a sister, Lottie Mae Fields of Phenix City, Ala., two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
