Services for Alice McGill, 81, of Bainbridge, Ga., were held Jan. 8 at Nelson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Bainbridge with the Rev. Harry Mitchell officiating.
Interment followed at Fleetown Cemetery in Climax with Cleveland Reddick, Bart Jackson, Jeray Randall, Anthony Mims and Jams Taylor acting as pallbearers.
Mrs. McGill was born March 4, 1929, in Climax, Ga., and died Dec. 31, 2010, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Fla.
She was a homemaker and a member of Popular Springs M.B. Church for years before joining the Liberty in Jesus Church.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Hutto, Ingram, Leodis, Lonnie, Robert, Beatrice, Georgia Mae and Mattie Mae.
Survivors include her son, Frank McGill Jr.; four daughters, Dorothy M. Richardson, Minister Anne Horne, Bessie McGill and Linda Anderson; a step-daughter, Cynthia Plummer; a brother, Arthur Gordon; sisters, Mary Lee Murray and Christine Patterson; 32 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Bruton Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
