Private services were held for Grace D. Cherrington, 99, of Perry, Ga., who died on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010.

For the past four years, Grace enjoyed living at Summerhill Assisted Living Facility. She previously lived in Macon, Ga., for more than 30 years and attended Riverside Methodist Church. She participated in the Bridge Club at Vineville Christian Towers on Thursday nights for many years.

She was born May 20, 1911, outside of Bainbridge, Ga. After marrying, she moved to Warner Robins, Ga., and worked at Robins Air Force Base until retiring in 1965 to travel with her second husband, Finlay M. “Cherry” Cherrington.

She is survived by her only daughter, Carolyn Conrad Dick of Perry; grandchildren, Leslie Harmon of Sioux Falls, S.D., Robert Dick Jr. of Lizella, Barbara Stuart of Macon and Andy Dick of Perry; a sister, Aliene Dunn of Birmingham, Ala.; and a brother, Jack Dasher of Bainbridge.

McCullough Funeral Home in Warner Robins, Ga., was in charge of arrangements.
