Funeral services for Clarence Dewaine Clark, 79, of Donalsonville, Ga., were held Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville.

Interment followed at Bethel Cemetery in Cedar Springs, Ga.

Mr. Clark was born Feb. 3, 1931, in Redfield, S.D., and died Dec. 13, 2010, at the Donalsonville Hospital.

He retired as a sergeant first class from the U.S. Army and moved back to his wife’s hometown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chet and Mary Post Clark, and his wife, Betty Jo Hill Clark.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharilyn Smith of Donalsonville, and one sister, Irene Higdon of Spokane, Wash.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
