Funeral services for Willie D. Jackson, 66, of Sylvester, Ga., were held Dec. 11 at Young Memorial Chapel of Bruton Mortuary with the Rev. Matthew Faulk officiating.

Interment was in Jonas Lobe Cemetery with brothers and nephews acting as pallbearers.

Mr. Jackson was born Nov. 30, 1944, in Camilla, Ga., and died Dec. 7, 2010, in Sylvester.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator until he was 65. He enjoyed fishing and his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Reatha Young, one brother and three sisters.

Survivors include a devoted companion, Fannie Mae Green; four children, Leon Jackson, Tewonda Jaye, Wonnie Williams and Mahalia Addison; three brothers, Lonnie C. Baulkmon, Andrew Lee Jackson and Charlie E. Jackson; two sisters, Mary Agnes Hall and Hattie Mae Smith; and a host of relatives and friends.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
