James Adams, 59, of Americas, Ga., formerly of Bainbridge, Ga., died on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.

No services are planned.

Mr. Adams was born Aug. 8, 1951, in Ocilla, Ga., the son of D.J. Adams and Finea “Granny” Roberson Adams Simpson.

Survivors include his brothers, Jerry Adams of Davisboro, Ga., Robert Hancock of Bainbridge, and Ronnie Adams of Cross City, Fla.; his sisters, Mary Alice Smith of Cairo, Ga., and Betty Edmonson of Americus; his stepbrothers, Charles Stone of Ocala, Fla., and Ray Stone of Okeechobee, Fla.; his stepsister, Brenda Anderson of Ocala, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.

Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
