The popular Christmas ballet, “The Nutcracker,” will be performed by a talented local cast at Bainbridge College’s Kirbo Center on December 10-11.
“The Nutcracker” will be presented by Lucretia’s Dance Studio and will feature several professional dancers in lead roles, along with dozens of Bainbridge dancers.
Roles of the Sugar Plum Fairy, Cavalier, Prince and Snow Queen will be performed by guest dancers from a Tallahassee, Fla., dance company, said Tami Wester, director of Lucretia’s Dance Studio. Much hard work has gone into preparing the 2010 Nutcracker production, including an elaborate set design, Wester said.
“We invite the community to attend one of our Nutcracker performances, to enjoy the show and show support for our local dancers and all their efforts,” Wester said.
Ticket prices are $20 for adults and $15 for students. Preferred/reserved seats are available for $25 each. Advance tickets are available from the offices of WMGR, located at 306 Boulevard Drive in Bainbridge. Parents of dancers can purchase discounted tickets at the studio on Broad Street in downtown Bainbridge.
