Ricky and Debby Cone Miller of Attapulgus, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Nicole Bowen of Climax, Ga., to Stephenson Mark Strickland of Fowlstown, Ga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Nancy Lowther and Kevin Lowther of Climax, Mrs. Lou Cutchens of Blakely, Ga., and the late Bubba Cone and Jimmy Miller.

She graduated from Bainbridge High School in 2000, and is currently a nursing student at Bainbridge College.

The future groom is the son of Kathy and Steve Strickland of Fowlstown, and the grandson of the late Barbra and Bud Stokes and the late Myrtis and Bruce Strickland.

He is a 1996 graduate of Bainbridge High School, and is attending Bainbridge College majoring in industrial maintenance and radiology. He is employed by the Saxon Group Inc.

The wedding is planned for Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. at the Attapulgus Baptist Church. A reception will follow at the union hall. Family and friends are invited to attend the wedding and reception.
