Thursday, here and across America, there were stirring celebrations or remembrances of all the veterans who have gone far away to fight for our security and freedoms.

The veterans in our times fought in wars far away from American soil.

But as Dick Yarbrough points out on this page, there’s a battle for our security within our own borders and it must be fought—now.

The main reason we are in Afghanistan and the main reason we were in Iraq was because of the terrorists claiming the lives of innocent Americans during the 9/11 attacks.

There are untold numbers of wannabe terrorists who are illegally crossing the border through Mexico.

This call for action on our borders should be first and foremost for our security and the lack of a strong barrier to those who want to kill us.
