Lucile White

Funeral services for Lucile White, 96, were held Thursday, Nov. 11, at the First Baptist Church of Blakely with the Rev. Michael Williams officiating.
Interment followed at Blakely Cemetery with Wesley Youmans, William Youmans, Warren Youmans, John Dalton Pritchett III, Larry Matthews Pritchett, Thomas Richard Meigs, Kaleb Matthew Spruell and Austin Lee Burroughs serving as active pallbearers.
Born Feb. 4, 1914, in Donalsonville, Ga., Mrs. White died on Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at the Calhoun Nursing Home in Edison, Ga.
Mrs. White was the daughter of the late William Robert Harrell and Oney Ester King Harrell and was a resident of Early County for more than 80 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blakely, a homemaker and was a retired Early County school bus driver for 35 years. She worked in retail sales and managed the former Pixie Shop in Blakely for a number of years. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by parents; her husband of 48 years, Alma “Buddy” White, who passed in 1979; a grandson, Matthew Reid Pritchett; two sons-in-law, Charles Morris White and Jack Benford Fiveash Sr.; and by three brothers, Douglas Harrell, Earl Harrell and John D. Harrell.
Survivors include three daughters, Jacqueline W. Fiveash of Donalsonville, Ga., Barbara W. Pritchett and her husband, John, of Georgetown, Ga., and Peggy White of Carrollton, Ga.; two sons, Maston Harrell White and wife, Ellen, of Jackson, Ga., and William Michael White and wife, Dana, of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., and Blakely, Ga.; 12 grandchildren, Perianne Fiveash (Fred) Roth, Mary Lucille (Bob) Youmans, Jack B. (Kristine ) Fiveash Jr., John D. (Leslee) Pritchett Jr., Penny Pritchett (Jeff) Burroughs, Paige White (Lonnie) Norman, Russell Anthony White, Cynthia Ann White (Stephen) Spurell, Carla Amy White (Ricky) Meigs, Tonya Michele White (Steve) Brown, Heather Nichole White (Dean) Beardslee, Amber Danielle White (Gary) Koblasz; and by 18 great-grandchildren, John D. Pritchett III, Larry Pritchett, Wesley Youmans, Warren Youmans, Allison Burroughs, Austin Burroughs, Thomas Richard Meigs, Denney Meigs, Kelby Roth, Kaleb Spruell, Madison Spruell, Dylan Fiveash, Brittany Fiveash, George Brown, Gabriel Brown, Kimberly Kelly, Meaghan Beardslee and Keegan Beardslee.
Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home in Blakely, Ga., was in charge of funeral arrangements.
