Hattie Flora Kutosky

A memorial celebration of the life of Hattie Flora Kutosky, 88, of Granite City, Ill., was held Friday, Nov. 12, at the Notchaway Baptist Church in Newton, Ga.
Mrs. Kutoskyi was born on Sept. 8, 1922, in Colquitt, Ga., to Byron and Sadie Mae (Musgrove) Rentz. She died on Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at Gateway Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, worked as a saleswoman for Carps Department Store in Granite City and was a supervisor for the Dress Factory and W.T. Grants in Granite City.
She is survived by and will be dearly missed by her husband, William J. Kutosky, whom she married on May 8, 1944, in Tallahassee, Fla.; a son, William J. Kutosky Jr. and his wife, Holly, of Granite City; two daughters, Cathy Walker and her husband, Greg, and Mary Kay Kutosky, both of Tallahassee,; five grandchildren, William John Kutosky III of Platteville, Colo., Hannah and Haley Kutosky, both of Granite City, John A. Walker and Jeffrey Byron Walker, both of Tallahassee; a sister, Nancy Renfroe of Augusta, Ga.; and a brother, Talmadge Rentz of Bainbridge, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Margie Lee, and a brother, Bernard Rentz.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
Irwin Chapel Funeral Home in Granite City, Ill., was in charge of the arrangements.
