The combination of warm weather the City of Bainbridge observing Halloween on Saturday, when kids were out of school, made for an enjoyable Pumpkins in the Park.
On Saturday afternoon, hundreds of children and their parents trick-or-treated at downtown businesses, participated in costume and pumpkin carving contests, ate popcorn and took hayrides around the square.
Pumpkins in the Park has become one of the most popular events sponsored by the city government since it began several years ago. To see pictures of all the contest winners, please see page 7A.
