A graveside funeral service for Willie B. Worthington, 92, of Bainbridge, Ga., were held Friday, Oct. 29, at Oak City Cemetery with the Rev. Stanley Phillips officiating.
Born Sept. 24, 1918, in Brinson, Ga., Mr. Worthington died on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at Memorial Manor Nursing Home.

Mr. Worthington was the son of William Thomas Worthington and Waver Josey Worthington. He retired from the U. S. Air Force and was a veteran of World War II. During his service, he was a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps Skeet Shooting Team. Mr. Worthington also was a retired clerk with the U.S. Postal Service, with more than 20 years of service. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and Orion Lodge No. 8 F. & A. M.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Frances Louise Kain Worthington; and his six siblings.
Survivors include his daughter, Beverly Worthington-Archer and her husband, Robert, of Nova, Ohio; his grandchildren, Brad W. Henry and his wife, Sarah, of Dublin, Ohio, and Lauren Harrell and her husband, Mark, of Bainbridge; and several great-grandchildren.
