Funeral services for Beverly Ann Goodson, 73, of Bainbridge, Ga., were held Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Lanier-Andler Funeral Home Chapel in Sneads, Fla., with the Revs. Mitchell Taylor and Russell Carlisle officiating.
Mrs. Goodson was a native of Newport News, Va., a resident of Chattahoochee, Fla., for 40 years and of Bainbridge for five years.
She died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, in Bainbridge following a lengthy illness.
She was of the Baptist faith and had worked as a psychiatric aide with the Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee, Fla., as well as a private caretaker for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doward Goodson; her mother, Elise Maxwell; father, Walter Hudgins; a daughter, Diane Martin; and two brothers, Ollie Hudgins and Sonny Hudgins.
She is survived by four daughters, Beverlene Goodson of Bainbridge, Kim Hampton of Woodville, Fla., and Trudy Rentz and Venice Goodson Martin, both of Sneads; five sons, Roy Parker of Wakulla Station, Fla., Gary Parker of Bloxham, Fla., Rueben and Dudley Parker, both of Jacksonville, Fla., and Glenwood Parker of Bristol, Fla.; a sister, Genevieve Mann of Waldo, Fla.; a brother, Tommy Maxwell of Lavonia, Ga.; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Lanier-Andler Funeral Home of Sneads was in charge of the arrangements.
