Funeral services for Gertrude Elizabeth Wilson, 86, of Bainbridge, Ga., were held on Friday, Oct. 22, at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel with Father Clif Marquis officiating.

Interment followed in Black Jack Baptist Church Cemetery with family serving as active pallbearers.

Mrs. Wilson was born Aug. 31, 1924, in Vicksburg, Miss., and died Oct. 19, 2010. She was a cashier in the retail industry for many years.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Thomas and Virginia Sanders; her husband, Cecil Wilson, and a brother, William Sanders.

She is survived by her four sons, Jerry Wilson of Stockbridge, Ga., Tommy Wilson of Utica, Miss., William Wilson of Bainbridge and Gary Wilson of Morristown Tenn.; two daughters; Penny Wilson of Cairo and Kathy Wiggins of Bainbridge.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
