• Bride of Christ Church—The Bride of Christ Church will celebrate its second anniversary by hosting a free comedy show Saturday, Oct. 23, at 6 p.m. at Bainbridge College Kirbo Center, 2500 E. Shotwell St. Sunday service will be at 11 a.m., also at the Kirbo Center, with Body of Christ Church from Raleigh, N.C.

• Delwood Church—The Delwood Church, located on Delwood Church Road on the Decatur/Mitchell County line, will celebrate Homecoming this Sunday, Oct. 24. Morning service begins at 10:45 a.m. and lunch will be served following the service.

• Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church—The church, located on Spring Creek Road in West Bainbridge, will celebrate an “Ole-fashioned day and feast of the Harvest” on Oct. 24, at 11 a.m. The Rev. David L. Gosha, the Jubilee Choir and usher board will be participants.

• Sylvania United Methodist Church—The church, located on Hutchinson Ferry Road, will celebrate Homecoming Sunday, Oct. 24, with services at 11:15 followed by a covered dish lunch.

• Celebration Baptist Church—The church, located at 3039 Faceville Hwy., will celebrate a Sunday Sing on Oct. 24, at 1:15 p.m. following the 11 a.m. morning service and lunch. The Thompsons from Grand Ridge will be participants.

• Climax Baptist Church—The church, at 204 W. Lee St. in Climax, will host The Lighthouse Children’s Home residents who will sing and give testimonies on Sunday, Oct. 24, at the 6 p.m. service. Food and fellowship will follow.

• Colquitt Church of God—The church, located in Colquitt, will host a Gospel Sing featuring The Singing Miracles, on Sunday, Oct. 24, at 6 p.m.

• Life Stream Church—The church, 1301 S. West St., on the corner of West and Alice streets, will hold a “Light the Night” event for kids and parents to come for treats, games and hot dogs on Saturday, Oct. 30, from 4 to 8 p.m.

• Nelson Chapel AME Church—The church, located at 640 Hall St., will celebrate Family & Friends Days on Oct. 30 and 31, for a “Welcome Back to Nelson” celebration. It will begin with a community carnival Oct. 30 from 1 to 4 p.m.. in the church parking lot. The Sunday, 11 a.m. worship will have the Revs. James A. Platt and Sandra Yates preaching a dual sermon from Habakkuk 1:5 “For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told.”

• Lighthouse Ministry—The church, at 312 Dunham St. in Iron City, will present The Breaking of the Chains Conference, beginning Friday, Nov. 5, with a Lunch and Learn at 12 noon, then 7 p.m.; and Saturday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Registration fee is $35. Register at www.calvinllewis.net.

• Greater Mount Calvary First Born Church—The church at 471 E. Broad St. in Climax will have a day of fun, entertainment and food on Saturday, Nov. 6, at their Fall Carnival. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Poplar Springs M.B. Church—The church, located 1011 Albany Road, will observe Pastor E. Matthew Faulk’s installation ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 7, at 3 p.m. The Rev. Thomas Garland will preside and the installation message will be given by the Rev. Alexander Mack of Mount Calvary M.B. Church.

• Gospel Sing—It’s Harvest Time Gospel singing and preaching will be at the Decatur County Coliseum on Nov. 6, beginning at 7 p.m. Featuring Pastor Eric Collins of Greater Macedonia M.B. Church, Totally 4 Him, The Gloreous Sons, The Spiritual Wonders, Coco and the Chosen Ones, Min. Febe and the Chosen Ones, Spiritualaires, Bishop Livingston and The Gospel Crusader, and The Gospel Songbirds.

• Liberty Baptist Church—The church, located 2909 Vada Road, Bainbridge, will have as a guest speaker, Evangelist Donnie Guy of Gulfport, Miss., on Saturday, Nov. 6, and Sunday, Nov. 7. A covered dish supper will be on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. with preaching at 6 p.m. He will also preach on Sunday services, Nov. 7. Sunday programs are: 9:45 Sunday School, 11 a.m. worship services and 6 p.m. evening services.

• Second Morning Star Church—The church, located 140 Engelhard Road, Attapulgus, will hold an event Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m. with Brother Joe Kendricks speaking.

• Salem M. B. Church—The church, located 451 Old Faceville Road, Faceville, will be having a “Harvest Bazaar,” on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The bazaar will feature fun activities for kids of all ages, a spa extravaganza, and booth rentals. • Piney Grove M.B. Church—The church, located on Piney Grove Road, Whigham, will observe the church and pastor’s anniversary from Nov. 8-14, with 7:30 p.m. services during the week and 11 a.m. on Nov. 14.

• Mount Zuma M.B. Church—The church, located 2015 Vada Road, will observe family and friends day on Nov. 21 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Phillip Corker of Shilo One M.B. Church of Cairo as speaker.
