Funeral services for Gary Cobb Sr., 53, of Donalsonville, Ga., were held Saturday, Oct. 23, at St. Matthew’s M.B. Church in Donalsonville with the Rev. Patrick Gilley officiating.

Interment was in Galilee Cemetery with Willie Johnson, Chuck Murphy, Calvin Brown Jr., Bryant McCollough, Grady Hill and Mark Lyles acting as pallbearers.

Mr. Cobb was born Jan. 18, 1957, and died Oct. 23, 2010, at Donalsonville Hospital.

He was employed at Georgia Pacific for 31 years.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shaneka Cobb.

Survivors include his wife, Emma Jean Cobb; a son, Gary Cobb Jr.; a daughter, Felisha Cobb; his mother, Bertha Mae Cobb of Greenwood, Fla.; three sisters, Beverly Cobb of Greenwood, Lisa Cobb and Donna Long, both of Bascom, Fla.; brothers, Willie Frank Cobb of Donalsonville and Anthony Newton of Greenwood; and a host of relatives and friends.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
