Frances Moore Suggs

The celebration of life for Frances Moore Suggs, 91, of Bainbridge, was held on Tuesday, Oct. 19, at Mount Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Thermon Moore and Charles Moore officiating.
Interment was at West Bainbridge Cemetery with the Rev. James Roberts officiating.
Mrs. Suggs was born Aug., 6, 1919, in Baker County, the daughter of Lewis Luellen Moore and Anna Heard Moore. She died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, at Memorial Manor Nursing Home.
She retired from Bainbridge State Hospital and was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church where she was a member of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class and Women on Missions. Mrs. Suggs was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 267, the Golden Agers and Climax Community Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Whuzzie Mack Suggs.
Survivors include her daughters, Frankie S. Brock and her husband, Charlie, of Bainbridge, and Zeldra S. Shirah and her late husband, Carl, of Bainbridge; five grandchildren, C. Mack Brock and his wife, Mary; Susan O’Neal and her husband, Steve; Turner Brock and his wife, Linda; Kathy Hill and her husband, Jerry, and Jeff Shirah and his wife, Michelle; 17 great-grandchildren, Jay and Tobey Shirah, Scott Shirah, Madison Brock, Whitney Jacobs, Chelsea Humphrey, Romadae and Allie Sizemore, Casey Singleton, Eric Willis, Chris O’Neal, Kurtis O’Neal, Cameron O’Neal, Libby and Emily Brock, James Ward, Mackenzie and Bentley Hill; and five great-great-grandchildren, Lawson Singleton, Corbyn Thompson, Emma Willis, Maylee Rayne Eakin and Malee James Humphrey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Women on Missions, Mount Zion Baptist Church, 243 Mount Zion Church Road, Bainbridge, GA 39817.
Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
