Funeral services for Inez Herring, 86, of Grand Ridge, Fla., were held on Thursday, Oct. 14, at Welcome Assembly of God Church in Dellwood, Fla.

Interment followed in the Welcome Assembly of God Church Cemetery in Dellwood. Active casketbearers were Dallas Edward Neel, Matt N. Herring, Daniel Lee Herring, George Jacob Wilson, Steven Hatcher and Miriam Mooneyham. Honorary casketbearer was James Herring.

Mrs. Herring was born in Dellwood, Fla., on May 13, 1924, and died Monday, Oct. 10, 2010, at her residence.

She worked as a psychiatric aide at Florida State Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Susie Justice Mooneyham; and by her husband, Dallas Ely Herring.

She is survived by one son, Dallas N. Herring of Greenwood, Fla.; two daughters, Pam Hatcher of Wewahitchka, Fla., and Phoebie Wilson of Grand Ridge; two brothers, Milton Mooneyham of Dellwood and Lester Mooneyham of Milton, Fla. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
