In celebration of Family History Month, the Decatur County Genealogical Society is offering a genealogy workshop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 9. The workshop is free to those who register by Thursday, Oct. 7. Registration at the door will be $5.  The workshop will be held at Community One building at the fairgrounds on Vada Highway, in Bainbridge.  Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. with classes beginning at 10 a.m. There will be a light lunch served. Edwin Duke , Kathryn Lillethun and John Cunningham are featured speakers. The basics of genealogy, local resources and DNA in genealogy are just some of the topics to be covered. Seating is limited.
