Mr. and Mrs. Scott Foister of Camilla, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Elizabeth, to Mr. Ryan Burtt of Elko, Ga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Durward Foister of Camilla and Mr. and Mrs. Odell Griner of Thomasville.

Miss Foister is a 2005 honor graduate of Westwood Schools and a 2009 honor graduate of Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She is currently employed in the maternity center at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville.

The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burtt of Elko, and the grandson of the late Felton Loggins and Mrs. Ruth Loggins of Elko and the late Stanley Burtt and Mrs. Bernadette Burtt of Lawrenceville, Ga.

Mr. Burtt is a 2001 honor graduate of Fullington Academy and a 2005 graduate of Georgia Southwestern University with a degree in marketing. He received his MBA from Troy State University in 2007, and is currently employed by Southwest Georgia Farm Credit in Bainbridge.

The wedding is planned for Nov. 6 in Bainbridge. Formal invitations will be sent.
