A memorial service for Veronica Johnson, 28, of Gadsden County, Fla., will be held Saturday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Freddie C. Anderson officiating.
Born May 11, 1982, in Bainbridge, Ga., Ms. Johnson died on Sept. 15, 2010, in a fire at her home.
Ms. Johnson was a 2001 alumnus of Bainbridge High School. At the time of her death, she was working with her dear friend and boss, Dennis Bishop, at ETI in Quincy, Fla. She loved to make every minute count within her day and time. She was a member of St. Thomas Missionary Baptist Church.
Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Worlds Johnson, and her grandparents, John and Retha Worlds, who were her guardians until their passing. She was joined in death by her father, J.T. Johnson.
Survivors include six sisters, Kimberly Johnson, Selena Johnson, Latesha Marshall, Janice Walker, Christina Johnson and Demedris Williams; five brothers, Elex Worlds, Tony Worlds, Joe Worlds, Antonio Johnson and Shawn Johnson; her second mother and aunt, Retha Stephens; two uncles; her two best friends, Veronica Miller and Kelly Smart; and a special friend, Danny McCall.
