• New Salem Freewill Baptist Church—The church, located on Spring Creek Road, will celebrate the Choir Anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m.
• Mt. Moriah Church—The Mt. Moriah No. 2 Adult Choir and the Edmond Howard Mt. Moriah grandchildren choir will celebrate their anniversary Saturday, Sept. 18 at 6:30 p.m. All choirs and soloists are invited.
• Immanuel Baptist Church—The church, at 2133 Dothan Hwy., will host a Gospel Sing on Sunday, Sept. 19 at 11 a.m. Participants will be from the Lighthouse Children’s Home.
• Travelers Rest M.B. Church—The church, at 661 Cal Thomas Rd., Whigham, will complete its celebration of the 107th church anniversary Sunday, Sept. 19, at 2 p.m. with Grant Chapel Rev. Lenhart Johnston.
• New Salem Freewill Church—The church, located on Spring Creek Rd., will celebrate the anniversary of Minister Melba Andrews on Sunday, Sept. 19 at 11 a.m.
• John the Baptist Church—The church, located at 1706 Faceville Highway, will conclude observance of the 119th church anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 19, at 3 p.m.
• Mount Zuma M.B. Church—The church, located at 2015 Vada Hwy., will conclude the church and pastor’s anniversaries celebration on Sunday, Sept. 19, at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday speakers will be the Rev. Douglas Barber and Rev. Dr. A.L. Thompson.
• First Baptist Church—The church, located at 401 E. Shotwell St., will begin its GAP Sunday School class on Sunday, Sept. 19. The class is for college graduate and professional single adults. The meeting will be at the church’s educational building beginning at 9:45 a.m.
• St. John A.M.E. Church—The church, located at 416 E. Broad St. in Climax, will celebrate the 144th church anniversary on Sunday Sept. 19, at 11 a.m. with minister Jimmie Addison as guest speaker.
• Union Missionary Baptist Church—The church, located at 703 Martin St. in Bainbridge, will celebrate Men and Women’s Day on Sept. 19 at 11 a.m. with guest speaker Minister Corene Green giving the program.
• Laymen Brotherhood Second Chance Outreach Center—The center, located at 205 Independent St., will celebrate its third anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 19, from 3 to 5 p.m. The center will give out food and clothing while supplies last. The guest speaker will be assistant district attorney Michael Garrett.
• Greater Macedonia M.B. Church—The church, located at 1006 Holly Street, is holding Monday Night RAW (Radical Anointed Worship) every Monday night at 7 p.m.
• Wake Up America Crusade—Stand up for Jesus Crusade will be held in Willis Park on Saturday, Sept. 25 beginning at 10 a.m. featuring Bobby Key and Nita.
• The Tama Community Church—The Lower Muskogee Creek Tribe church will host a Camp Meeting Sept. 22-24 at Tama Tribal Town on Collins Road in Whigham. Services will be held at 10 a.m., 2 and 7 p.m. nightly. The annual Big Jim Williams Bluerass-Gospel Festival will follow on Saturday, Sept. 25. Admission is free, but donations are welcome. • Liberty in Jesus Christian Center—The church, located at 1108 Butler Ferry Rd., Bainbridge, will hold a Compel Camp Meeting ’10, featuring Apostle O. Deshae Cuthrell, AKA Gospel Comedian “Rev. B,” of Richmond, Va., on Sept. 22-24 at 7 p.m. nightly.
• Recovery United Methodist Church—The church, located at 307 Recovery Road, will hold a Fall Yard Sale on Friday, Sept. 24, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 25 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church—The church, located at 1810 S. West Street, Bainbridge, will observe the Usher Anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 26 at 11:15 a.m.
• John the Baptist Church—The church, at 1706 Faceville Highway, will hold pre-revival nightly prayer meetings from Sept. 26 – 28 at 7 p.m. Church pastor is Matthew Williams. The revival begins Sept. 29 and runs through Oct. 1 at 7 p.m., with the Rev. James Turner as guest speaker.
• Climax Baptist Church—The church, located at 204 W. Lee St., Climax, will hold a Revival beginning Sept. 26 – 29th. Sunday School will be at 9:30 a.m. and morning service at 10:30, with covered dish meal to follow. Nightly services begin at 7 p.m. Evangelist Stanley H. Phillips of Bainbridge will be guest speaker.
• First African Baptist Church—The church, located at 115 Church St. in West Bainbridge, will mark its choir’s anniversary on Saturday, Oct. 2, at 6 p.m. The. Rev. J.C. Jackson is the pastor.
• Beulah Thomas Baptist Church—The church, located on Woodhull Road, will hold a revival starting Oct. 3- 6, with 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. services on Sunday and 7 p.m. Mon. through Wed.
• Mount Zuma M.B. Church—The church, located at 2015 Vada Hwy., will have its senior usherboard anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 10, at 3 p.m. The Rev. Harry Mitchell Sr. is the pastor.
