Grady County’s Gene Maddox announced he is actively campaigning for re-election to another term in the Georgia House of Representatives.
“I am truly humbled and blessed to have so many friends in the district that have called or stopped by offering encouragement for my re-election,” Maddox said. “They recognize my passion and my heart to do the very best for the people of Decatur and Grady Counties.”
Representative Maddox, a retired veterinarian, said he has a proven record of voting and working in a manner that reflects the values of Southwest Georgia. A Republican, Maddox said he wants to make sure that our water resources are protected, small businesses and family farms have the opportunity to succeed, and that Southwest Georgia values are reflected in the laws passed.
Representative Maddox said he has voted for tort reform, reducing taxes on seniors, expanding arm-bearing rights, providing more opportunities for sportsmen and a balanced state budget.
During these difficult times for all Georgians, Representative Maddox stands tested and ready to continue his work for the people of the 172nd House District.
“There is much work to be done,” said Representative Maddox. “We must reform the Georgia Tax code allowing for individuals and businesses to flourish, we must pass zero-based budgeting again, we must continue to support our farmers, and I will continue to represent the people of this district with honesty and integrity.”
Representative Maddox is seeking his fourth term in the Georgia House of Representatives. He serves on the following committees: Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, Health and Human Services, Economic Development, Retirement, and Human Relations and Aging. He can be reached at his home by calling 229-377-1812.
“I look forward to seeing you out on the campaign trail and hope I can earn your vote,” Maddox said.
