Private services will be held for David Richard Simpson, 59, of Bainbridge, Ga., who died Sept. 1, 2010, at his residence.

Mr. Simpson was born March 25, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Marines, and was a technical illustrator for Lynch Machinery Systems. He attended The First Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hume Wilson Simpson, and one sister, Kathy Shallhorn.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy E. Simpson; his son, Stephen Christopher Jory of Watertown, N.Y.; a sister-in-law, Paula Pollock of Bainbridge; his mother, Maude Katherine Dugger of Cincinnati; three brothers, Sonny, Ricky and Terry Simpson, all of Cincinnati; two sisters, Mary Ann Johnson of Portland, Ore., and Lisa Cunningham of Cincinnati; three grandchildren and a host of relatives.
