A memorial service for Mary Weaver, 71, of Bainbridge, was held Tuesday, Aug. 31, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Grubbs officiating.

Born July 19, 1939, in Bainbridge, Mr. Weaver died on Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at Memorial Manor Nursing Home.

Ms. Weaver was a graduate of West Bainbridge High School. She retired from Coats & Clark and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Johnny Ray Widner and Michael DeWayne Weaver, and a grandson, Michael Weaver.

Survivors include her brother, James Thompson of Brinson; her sisters, Barbara Blanchard of Bainbridge and Thelma Cotele Hartzo of Albany, Ga.; four granddaughters, a great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.

Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
