Funeral services for Mamie K. Hill, 92, of Bainbridge, Ga., will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Marty Brock and C.O. Thompson officiating.

Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Ed Lee, Charles Bennett, Joe Tally, Mitch Comerford, Joey McMillan and Steve Sanders serving as active pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Ivey Funeral Home.

Born Jan. 1, 1918, near Vada, Ga., Mrs. Hill died on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at her residence.

She attended Macon School for the Blind and was a homemaker and member of Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Hill.

Survivors include her son, Bruce D. Hill of Bainbridge, Ga.; two grandsons and four great-grandsons.

Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
