Finea Simpson

A funeral service for Finea “Granny” Simpson, 95, of Bainbridge, was held Sunday, Aug. 15, at Bainbridge First Church of the Nazarene with the Revs. David Grubbs and Richard Dobson officiating.
Interment followed at Bainbridge First Church of the Nazarene Cemetery with Jacky Grubbs, Bobby Grubbs, Corky Grubbs, John Smith, Marion Grubbs and Scott Messer serving as active pallbearers.
Born April 30, 1915, in West Green, Ga., Mrs. Simpson died on Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, at her residence.
Mrs. Simpson was a homemaker and member of First Church of the Nazerene.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Simpson; her son, Harold Dean Adams; and her daughter, Amy Hawkins.
Survivors include her sons, Jerry Adams of Davisboro, Ga., James Adams and Robert Hancock, both of Bainbridge; her daughters, Mary Alice Smith of Cairo, Ga., and Betty Edmonson of Americus, Ga.; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-great-grandchildren.
Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
