Climax native and current National Football League player James Butler Jr. will sponsor a free back-to-school event for local youth on Monday, August 2. The event will be held at Sweet’s Barber Shop, 305 N. Broad St. in Bainbridge, where Butler will provide 100 free haircuts for kids. Butler, an All-ACC player on the field and in the classroom, now plays safety for the St. Louis Rams. He was a member of the 2007 New York Giants Super Bowl champion team.
