Working on the railroad

With the temperatures along the newly-laid railroad ties climbing to 118 degrees Tuesday afternoon, workers for R.W. Alexander Contractors are told to take it slow, take breaks and get plenty to drink. The subcontractors are working for Circle B Contractors in laying approximately 1,300 feet of railroad leading from the Spring Creek spur into the property of R.W. Griffin’s Bainbridge Terminal
