Funeral services for Rex Ford, 74, of Donalsonville, Ga., were held Sunday, July 25, in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Hornsby officiating.

Interment followed in Friendship Cemetery with Robert Goocher, Bill Goocher, Greg Davis, Warren Davis, Joe Moye and Buddy Roberts serving as active pallbearers.

Born in Donalsonville, Ga., on Sept. 4, 1935, Mr. Ford died on Friday, July 23, 2010 at his residence.
Mr. Ford was retired from Georgia Pacific, where he worked for a number of years as a lab supervisor.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Royce Ford; and a son, John Kevin Ford.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Ford of Donalsonville; three daughters, Wanda Caye Nelson of Kennesaw, Ga., Kimberly Ann Powers of Augusta, Ga., and Linda Jane Heussner of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Janice Wyndam of Dothan, Ala., Judy Brooks of Donalsonville, Ga., and Teresa Ford of Atlanta, Ga.; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
