Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Thomas Strickland, 72, of Attapulgus, were held Friday, July 23, at Franklin Baptist Church.

Born Sept. 29, 1937 in Fowlstown, Mr. Strickland passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Strickland spent most of his life In Leon County, Fla. He was owner of Strickland Electric Company of Tallahassee, Fla., for 33 years. His passion was his family, work, farming angus cattle, church and helping others.

Survivors include his wife, Jean, of 51 years; three children, Thomas Jeffrey Strickland, Lynn Jackson and Bobbie Jean Armstrong; two sisters, Margaret Marchant and Annette Rabon; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Independent Funeral Home in Quincy, Fla., was in charge of arrangements.
