Funeral services for Louise Floyd Sims, 87, of Bainbridge, will be held Saturday, July 10, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Medley officiating.
Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
Born June 22, 1923, in Colquitt, Ga., Mrs. Sims died on Thursday, July 8, 2010, at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Panama City, Fla.
Mrs. Sims retired with 25 years of service as a secretary for Independent Life and Accident Insurance Company. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and volunteered for many years with the American Red Cross Gray Ladies.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Sims, and her brother, Joseph Milton Floyd.
Survivors include her son, David Sims of Franklin, Mass.; her daughter, Patsy Scharnikow of Panama City Beach, Fla.; her sister, Gladys Glover of Houston, Texas; her brother, Billy Floyd of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
