The Bainbridge Thunder, the Bainbridge Middle School’s summer baseball team, split a recent doubleheader with the Seminole County Dixie Youth All-Star team in Donalsonville.

The Seminole County All-Stars won their Dixie Youth district championship and are currently preparing for their state tournament.

The Thunder dropped the first game 10-3, before bouncing back to win the second game 6-1.

Leading hitters for the Thunder in their second game victory were Cabe Rathel, Jalen Belin and Brent Noble.

Strong pitching efforts were turned in by Blake Merchant, Anderson Bailey, Dustin Strickland and Tyler Braswell.

The Thunder will continue playing games throughout the rest of the summer and into the month of October.
