Ray Dominguez, former Bainbridge High School Bearcats All-Region 1-AAAA football offensive lineman and basketball forward, will be beginning his third season as a starting left tackle for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks this fall.
Dominguez, now a senior at Arkansas, hopes to continue providing solid play for the Razorback offensive line. In his junior season of 2009, he started all but one game.
He started 10 games at left tackle in 2008, his first season as a starter. During that season, he maintained an outstanding 90 percent or above blocking grade, something he has continued to do throughout his Razorbacks career.
After redshirting his freshman year in 2006, the former Bearcat backed-up All-American Robert Felton at left tackle in 2007. He played in six games that season.
With the Bearcats, Dominguez, who is now stands, 6 feet 4 and weighs 329 pounds, played under former head football coach Greg Guy and former head basketball coach Jeff Page.
A very versatile player, he saw duty at both offensive tackle and tight end with the Bearcats. He also played basketball.
A Spring 2007 Academic Honor Roll student at Arkansas, Dominguez is majoring in elementary education.
He is the son of Juan and Cynthia Dominguez.
