Cheerleader camp coming

Pre-kindergarten through fourth-grade girls are getting excited about the opportunity they will soon have to learn the latest cheers, chants and jumps from the award winning Bainbridge High School cheerleaders.

That opportunity will come Wednesday, Thursday and Friday July 14, 15 and 16 when they attend the annual Bainbridge Leisure Services Department’s cheerleader clinic at the new Bainbridge High School gymnasium.

Clinic sessions will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at noon each day.

The clinic’s cost is $40. Parents wishing to register their children or obtain more information about the clinic can call the Bainbridge Leisure Services Department office at 248-2010.

A highlight of the camp comes Friday morning, when the girls will perform the routines they have learned for their parents. Each year, they put a lot of enthusiasm into their performances.

Many girls who have participated in the clinic through the years have gone on to become middle school and Bainbridge High School cheerleaders.

The football cheerleading squad is being coached by Pam Bland and the competition cheerleading squad is being coached by Sheri Dunn-Ulm and Lauren Turner.
