Future Bainbridge High School Lady Cats softball players got a chance to learn hitting and fielding skills first hand last week at the new Bainbridge High School softball complex.

The instructors were Lady Cats head coach Eugene Singletary, Assistant Coach Dennis Cato and a number of current Lady Cats players.

After fielding some ground balls and catching some fly balls on the field, the campers went to the indoor batting cage for some hitting instruction.

“In the cage, we concentrated on the fundamentals of hitting,” Coach Singletary said. “We worked on the proper stance and the proper follow through at the plate. We also did some hitting off a tee.”

Other camp instructors included Lady Cats Caitlyn Cato, Courtney Cooper, Bria Harris, Diamond Bouie, Jocelyn Beard, April Thomas, Natasha Green and Magan Powell.
