The Tallahassee Brass Band will perform in Bainbridge on Sunday, June 27, beginning at 2 p.m. at the gazebo in Willis Park.
Some of the pieces chosen for Sunday’s concert include the trumpet trio “Bugler’s Holiday,” “Summertime,” featuring the band’s principal trombone, and “Amazing Grace,” with Ed Mobley serving as guest conductor.
The band’s conductor, Michael Grant, completed a 27-year career with the U.S. Navy as an officer, conductor and trumpet player.
The Tallahassee Brass Band was first organized in March 2007 by founder Michael Phillips. The group specializes in the performance of music in the British, American and European brass band tradition.
The band performed in Bainbridge during the dedication of the administration building at Bainbridge College in honor of Mobley.
