Funeral services Georgia Kane Hughes of Florida and formerly of Donalsonville, Ga., were held Saturday, June 19, in the chapel of Evans-Skipper with the Rev. Matt Blackmon officiating.

Interment followed at Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, Ga.

Born July 23, 1934, in Camden, N.J., Mrs. Hughes died on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, in Florida.

Mrs. Hughes was a member of Red Level Baptist Church in Crystal River, Fla., and worked as a nurse. She was a volunteer for the Citrus County Sheriff’s Patrol and Citrus Springs Elementary School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Hughes.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Ginder of Mount Joy, Pa., and Susan Easom of Dunnellon, Fla.; a son, David Hughes of Altus, Okla., and eight grandchildren.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
