I recently had the privilege to be a chaperone on the trip to Washington, D.C., with the fifth- and sixth-graders from Hutto Middle School.

Beverly Payne and Crycynthia Gardner are to be commended on a job well done. They had every detail of this trip planned. They made sure that each student’s and chaperone’s needs were taken care of.

I must also praise the students. They were each on their best behavior. We had a lot of complimentary comments on how polite and orderly our students were. We were repeatedly asked what school they were from—and with pride we responded, “Hutto Middle School, Bainbridge, Ga.”

So Bainbridge, be proud of your schools and the teachers who help mold your children’s character. Continue to show your support for our schools and teachers.
