A funeral service for Charlie Earl Clinton, 74, of Bainbridge, was held Monday, May 31, in the chapel of Ivey Funeral Home with the Rev. Malcolm Parker officiating.
Interment followed at Black Jack Baptist Church Cemetery with Brian Parker, Billy Clemons, Buddy Atkinson, Robbie Waldrop, Dave Howell and Tony Kelly serving as active pallbearers.
Born July 6, 1935, in Decatur County, Mr. Clinton died on Friday, May 28, 2010, at his residence.
Mr. Clinton was a retired paint contractor and a member of Black Jack Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, G.W. Clinton and Alec Clinton, and his sisters, Ruth Lambert, Odessa Kelly, Mary Price and Mildred Thornton.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Brenda Clinton of Bainbridge; his sons, Michael Clinton of Climax and Johnny Clinton, Robert Clinton and Charlie Earl Clinton Jr., all of Bainbridge; his sisters, Pat Carroll and Ann Clenney, both of Tallahassee, Fla.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
